On some occasions, it’s possible that a teacher will show up to a home or initiate an online session and the client is not present or unavailable. In this case, we generally follow a simple protocol before simply moving on.
If a client is not present at the scheduled lesson time, a teacher should wait patiently for approximately ⅓ of the total lesson time, before moving on in the event no student arrives.
This means, for a 30-minute lesson a teacher should wait approximately 10 minutes. For a 45-minute lesson, the teacher should wait approximately 15 minutes. For a 60-minute lesson, the teacher should wait approximately 20 minutes.
If no student shows up after patiently waiting for the suggested time, the teacher can move on and mark the lesson as No-Show.
