Students have an option to schedule lessons on a variety of scheduling plans, both in-home and online. Clients are always billed in advance, and payment is required in full before the student's first lesson of the billing period. This protects the teacher, and it assures they will be compensated fairly for any no-shows or late cancellations. Clients are encouraged to schedule one lesson first, to make sure they love the teacher and experience.

For clients who prefer in-home lessons, scheduling options include ad-hoc, monthly, and semester plans. As the teacher’s concierge, Forbes Music will reach out to the client after their first lesson to determine their preference for ongoing scheduling moving forward.

Ad-hoc

Student’s scheduling ad-hoc will be contacted after a completed lesson to schedule their next, subsequent lesson. Lesson days and times are generally not reserved in advance for clients scheduling ad-hoc. We do not encourage scheduling ad-hoc students during peak lesson hours.

Monthly

Students scheduling monthly will receive a confirmation of upcoming dates prior to each month. The teacher’s unavailable dates will be cross-referenced, and lessons will not be included for any conflicts. Prior to the 1st of the month, clients have the option to omit any dates they are unavailable for the upcoming period as well. On the 1st of the month, the client’s card is charged. Lesson dates cancelled thereafter will be subject to our cancellation policies.

Semester

Forbes Music Company offers a Semester Plan option for students who wish to receive a deep discount for paying the entire semester in advance. On the Semester Plan, lessons are scheduled once a week (excluding Federal Holidays). Should a student sign up after the semester has begun, Forbes Music Company will prorate their semester plan to exclude the weeks missed.

For clients who prefer online lessons, scheduling options include weekly, by package, or by subscription. Once again, as the teacher’s concierge, Forbes Music will reach out to the client after their first online lesson to determine their preference for ongoing scheduling moving forward.

Weekly

After a completed lesson, student’s scheduling weekly will be invoiced for their next, subsequent lesson. Clients will have the option to decline the lesson or push to a future date.

Package

Clients have the option to purchase packages in increments of four lessons. While the majority of clients will schedule package lessons on a weekly basis, and simply renew when the balance is reduced to zero, lessons are not required to be scheduled weekly or consecutively. These lessons do not expire.

Subscriptions

Clients will have the option to schedule lesson subscriptions, which allot a specified amount of lessons within a specified period of time. Subscription options include quarterly and annual.

Quarterly subscriptions allot 13 lessons over the course of 13 weeks (one quarter). Annual subscriptions allot 52 lessons over the course of 52 weeks (one year). Lessons can not be rolled over, and there are no credits that can be applied to a subsequent billing cycle. Lessons are not required to be scheduled weekly or consecutively. Clients are not required to schedule all lessons with the same teacher, and in the event of teacher unavailability, clients may choose to work with multiple teachers. Teachers are compensated for insufficient cancellation notice in accordance with our policy, but not compensated for unused lessons.

Important Note: If the student has a question regarding their scheduling and payment options, the teacher is instructed to direct all inquiries to Forbes Music Company to answer any questions, clarify any ambiguities, and resolve such matters.
